This role will job share with West Park/Monterey- West Park: 1700 Heinzerling Drive Columbus, OH 43223 & Monterey: 3929 Hoover Rd Grove City, Oh 43123
General Summary

Provides occupational therapy services to patients impaired by physical and/or cognitive dysfunction, including assessment, treatment planning and implementation of treatment plans. Participates in patient care conferences, program development, and screenings as appropriate. Provides supervision for OTAs and aides as assigned. Completes appropriate documentation and adheres to policies, procedures and current standards of clinical practice.

Principle Responsibilities
  • Conducts occupational therapy screenings and evaluations to determine patient independence with activities of daily living, including self-care skills, work and leisure.
  • Provides occupational therapy treatments consistent with the professional and ethical standards of the AOTA for an Occupational Therapist.
  • Develops and implements treatment plans to use adaptations, strengthening and retraining to reach patients’ highest potential for independence. Adheres to professional standards of practice.
  • Provides direct patient care in accordance with productivity standards by use of graded activities to facilitate the restoration of physical and functional abilities.
  • Checks, instructs, assigns and reviews the work of OTAs and aides as assigned.
  • Provides documentation in a legible manner to maintain quality of the medical record as it relates to reimbursement guidelines, accuracy, and company requirements.
  • Participates, as requested, in patient care conferences, per company guidelines.
  • Participates in CQI activities as required ensuring continuous quality of care.
  • Rotate to other facilities to meet productivity/patient care and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Accreditation
  • Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Licensure as required by the State of Ohio
  • Member of AOTA

Working Conditions
