Nutritional Associate & Researcher Job Description

A busy Northern VA integrative practice (right outside of Washington, DC) is looking for a full-time Nutritional Associate and Researcher.

The employee will work alongside a senior practitioner to:

• Record client information such as recommended foods, supplements, symptoms, and concerns
• Prepare electronic and physical files for senior practitioners
• Assemble information to email to clients such as supplement schedule, suggested foods, menus, and recipes
• Assist senior practitioners with responding to client inquiries via email
• Suggest interventions to help senior practitioner in their work with client
• Start consultations with clients and take input on symptoms and any changes since the previous visit
• Conduct research on topics of interest typically through the lens of epigenetics
• Assemble research articles and presentations

There may be occasional back office work in administrative functions such as billing, shipping, and filing.

Position is hybrid remote and in person. Candidate must be able to commute to the office certain days a week and can work remotely as needed.

The practice sees clients of all ages with varying symptoms and conditions. Most consultations are in-person. Two senior practitioners are supported by several staff. In this job, you will be exposed to applied kinesiology as a tool. You will learn about many supplements and bioindividual nutrition protocols. You will be a part of a diverse team including a Registered Nurse, Senior Practitioner in Holistic Nutrition, Masters in Alternative and other Nutritional Counselors.

Candidate must be proficient in MSOffice – Word, Excel and Outlook and have good typing skills. Must have high attention to detail. Office hours are 8:45am-6:00pm.
