Position Summary: Responsible for the recruitment, selection and employment of RCMC Nursing, Nursing Support, Management/Leadership, and other positions, as assigned.
Position Performance Area/Expectations:
Recruitment, Selection, Employment and Retention
· Develops innovative recruitment strategies to assure quality new hires on a timely basis for job vacancies for Nursing, Nursing Support, Clinical Professional, and other positions, as assigned.
· Reviews online applications & transfer requests; follows up with viable candidates for Nursing, Nursing Support, Management/Leadership, and other positions, as assigned
· Works with HR Manager and HR Director to ensure all nurse advertising is creative, appropriate, and cost effective.
· Interviews, screens, tests, and recommends for hire those applicants who will be successful in their jobs for which they are applying for Nursing, Nursing Support, Management/Leadership, and other positions, as assigned.
· Coordinates the appropriate communication of all job vacancies to the HR Manager, HR Director and RCMC Leadership.
· Manages all internal and external transfer requests for assigned positions
· Maintains internet job postings for Nursing, Nursing Support, Management/Leadership, and other positions, as assigned.
· Manages RCMC LinkedIn Career Page
· Participates as a member of the Nursing Leadership Congress.
· Ensures an efficient hiring process by working with HR team.
· Responsible for determining & producing the appropriate written materials for nurse recruitment.
· Attends pertinent seminars, conferences and job fairs that enhance recruitment activities.
· Coordinates new grad START programs with nursing Vice Presidents, Nursing Professional Practice, Clinical Managers and unit-based Educators.
· Responsible for coordinating RCMC nurse career fairs/open houses, and various other nurse recruitment events and activities.
· Serves as the Position Manager system administrator, maximizing utilization of the system to ensure applicants are assessed and processed in a timely manner.
· Run Monthly RN license verification report through IDFPR.
· Completes turnover stats (quarterly).
· Submits HR data to Planning to complete AHA Hospital Survey (annually).
· Works with Assistant VP, Patient Care, on projects, as assigned.
Human Resources Support/Management
· Develops and writes Human Resources policies and procedures as needed or assigned.
· Actively participates on hospital PI teams and committees, as requested.
· Orients new managers to the recruitment & employment process.
· May handle or participate in a variety of HR projects/activities.
· Works with HR Manager and HR Director to coordinate end-of-year employment statistics.
· Partners with Medical Office Staff related to credentialing and re-credentialing of mid-level practitioners.
Communications
· Ensures website information for nurses is up-to-date and in concert with Marketing branding and strategy initiatives.
Employee Health Services
· Works collaboratively with Employee Health Coordinator and EHS nurse.
· Ensures new hire pre-employment testing processing and follow-up.
Position Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Business, HR or other related field preferred.
· Three to five years of nurse recruitment experience preferred.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Strong ability to multi-task and work in high-pressure situations.
· A customer service professional with leadership & critical thinking skills.
· Computer proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.
· Experience within healthcare Human Resources preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.58 - $48.86 per hour
