Rekonnect Wellness is currently hiring a part time Nurse Practitioner for our Georgetown, Texas location. Rekonnect is a psychedelic behavioral health clinic that utilizes ketamine for the treatment of mental health conditions and chronic pain. We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner, for our outpatient clinic in Georgetown, Texas to act as the Clinic Administrator. If you are tired of the eight-minute patient interaction and are looking for real patient care, this job is for you. This position is about 70% clinical and 30% administrative. The position will start out part-time. As the patient base grows, this role could evolve into a full-time position.

The environment is very Zen and calm. You will administer a sub-anesthetic ketamine infusion to up to three patients at a time and monitor vitals every 20 minutes. The infusions are accompanied by dim lighting, essential oils, and peace/quiet. We use IV and intramuscular shots to administer the ketamine treatment in our clinic.

Senses are heightened on ketamine and many patients do not like the sound of talking, shuffling through supplies/personal items, etc. The noise can be distracting to their experience, so we try to keep external stimuli at a minimum.

This is also a great retirement job or a position for a Nurse Practitioner who likes a slow-paced, relaxing atmosphere.

The medical director will not be onsite every day, but will be available for consult at all times, and in person at specific times of the week for patient collaboration. As the main Nurse Practitioner in the clinic, you will be responsible for developing your own relationships with patients and your own flow in your office.

Your professional liability insurance is paid for by the employer. ACLS and BLS required.

The ideal candidate will be extremely reliable and have an unencumbered Texas state nursing license and ACLS and BLS certifications.

Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, between approximately 12pm to 6pm (these hours may slightly shift depending on patient demand). May require some weekends, but will work with your schedule! Saturday’s hours approximately 10am to 5pm

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner
• DEA Certification (Preferred)

• Knowledge of medication administration

Responsibilities

• Some Saturdays may be required based on patient appointments

• Administer intramuscular ketamine and other prn medications as directed per protocol and in collaboration with the Medical Director

• Helping to guide patients through a psychedelic experience

• Demonstrate the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations

• Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors

• Complete all documentation of patient treatment process, including progress notes and discharge summaries in an accurate and timely manner

• Maintain patient privacy

• Hire, train, mentor and manage clinical team

• Assist in local marketing and community education

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements

• Maintain appropriate medical supply inventory with focus on fiscal responsibility

• Customer service orientated

• Answering patient calls related to adverse reactions (nausea etc.)
