Integra Clinical Services is seeking part-time Nurse Practitioners to support weekend wellness clinics throughout the Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan area. These positions are considered as Advanced Practice Nurses. Our church-based wellness and weight loss centers are the latest in primary care innovation. The difference in the quality of care to patients is our integrative care approach that combines four essential elements: Good Chronic Condition Care and Weight Loss - Medical Care, Nutrition Therapy, Fitness Training, and Long-term Support.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Nurse Practitioners serve as health care resources, interdisciplinary consultants, and patient advocates. The position provides advanced primary and specialty nursing services to patients with quality of care and ensures regulatory compliance of pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA when performing duties.

  • Provides a wide range of primary health care to individuals of all ages and families, to include direct patient care such as diagnosis, health assessments, treatment of illnesses, injuries, and disease prevention and treatment.
  • Provides administrative assistance for clinic activities (e.g., records symptoms, and updating medical records, etc.
  • Provides nursing and medical services to individuals, families, and groups, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, as well as the management of acute and chronic diseases.
  • Provides services that include but are not limited to the ordering of appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, the prescription of pharmacologic agents and treatments and non-pharmacologic therapies.
  • Provides counselling services to individuals, families and groups, a major part of job duties.
  • Arranges and participates in individual and group health education efforts.
  • Works autonomously and collaborates with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients’ health care problems.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a minimum of one year of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.

EDUCATION:

  • Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Must have and maintain a current, active, valid, unrestricted license issued by the State of Georgia.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Expert knowledge and experience of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA, clinical medical practice, and disease prevention.
  • Exceptional communication skills when interacting with patients and colleagues, nurse practitioners need excellent listening, speaking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand patients.
  • Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships for continued care.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills based on clinical interviews, physical examinations, and lab test results, identifying diseases and other health conditions.
  • Ability to develop treatment plans, evaluate various options to treat a condition, and then identify best outcomes.
  • Ability to sympathize with sick and worried, patients and their families.
  • NP usually manage other members with strong leadership skills of the healthcare team such as Registered Nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs).
  • Ability to work with and provide services to individuals of diverse ethnic backgrounds.

Job Type — Part-time candidates residing in the State of Georgia North Carolina to perform contracted work

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

    • Must be current on Continuing Education credits sufficient to retain both their clinical license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
    • Must possess a license (or other authorizing document) for advanced practice issued by either the State Board of Nursing granting the RN license or another state.
    • Must maintain a current certification as a family nurse practitioner from a nationally recognized source (or national certifying body), such as the American Nurses Credentialing Commission (ANCC).

    PREFERRED:

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university.
    • Certified Nurse Practitioner.

    Other Requirements:

    Must have a current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) certificate or Controlled Drug Substance number as appropriate. The candidate shall ensure that renewal actions are accomplished well before expiration of the personnel’s license and/or DEA certification to ensure compliance with the employment agreement.

    • Must be U.S. citizens.
    • Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English clearly and effectively communicate with all patients and other healthcare providers.
