Description:
The Primary Care APRN provides care to the outpatient population via face-to-face or via telehealth and other communication devices. The APRN performs patient assessments, H & Ps, and takes a thorough medical history. The APRN can order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests. The APRN develops medical diagnoses, appropriate treatment plan, prescribes medical regimen, and educates patients/family regarding diagnosis and plan of care. May perform approved procedures and order medications as indicated in the Delineation of Privileges. The APRN works directly with physicians, staff, administration, patients and families to ensure quality of care across the health system. The APRN is a clinical team leader that intervenes and manages deteriorating patients. The APRN integrates evidence-based practice and technological advances into their scope of practice. The APRN may participate in research initiatives, data collection, quality improvement, discharge planning, and coordination of patient care within the area of practice. The APRN participates in and facilitates patient throughput, optimal patient outcomes, optimal length of stay and improved patient satisfaction. The APRN sees patients more frequently to reduce hospital admissions and less use of the ED services.

Estimated salary range for this position is $98092 - $130462 / year depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Degrees: Masters Licenses & Certifications: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Basic Life Support Drug Enforcement Administration Additional Qualifications: 5 years of APP experience required. National Certification. Obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges. Completes and maintains APP II Annual Professional Portfolio. Compliant with state requirements for CEUs and licensure renewal. DEA License required as per specialty. Advanced Cardiac Life Support required as per department/specialty. National Certification.
