Resident Care Manager (RCM) to join our team.
Job Summary:
Transitional Care Center of Seattle is currently looking for a
Resident Care Manager (RCM) to oversee the proper administration of total care to our residents. Provides general nursing care to residents, and oversee the work of the Licensed Nurses and CNAs in our facility.
Essential Functions:
- Obtains and administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
- Observes resident, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor, family, (responsible party) and physician of resident's change in condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
- Takes vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of resident.
- Administers appropriate disciplinary action for nursing staff non-compliance with state and federal regulations and Center policies.
- Modifies resident care plan, care directives, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Aide flow sheets in conjunction with resident changes in condition
Education, Licensure, and Experience:
- Required RN license for the state of practice, or ability to obtain a license before starting work
- Preferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred
- Preferred Prior experience in direct resident care in a long term healthcare setting is preferred
- Preferred One or more years psychiatric nursing experience preferred
- Preferred Behavioral health setting experience preferred
