We are seeking a highly energetic BSN Nurse Educator for an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. As a Nurse Educator, the primary responsibility is to support the clinical education of students in the Concordia University Texas ABSN program. Nurse Educators are assigned to responsibilities in a simulation, clinical or lab setting and are expected to contribute to help support students in the learning environment in collaboration with other faculty providing oversight. The Nurse Educator is accountable to the Director, Nursing Services (DNS).
This is a full-time position with Orbis Education, a Concordia partner, at its Dallas location.

What You Will Do:

• Nurse Educators shall work with Clinical and Course Faculty and to plan and implement learning experiences in the Learning Center and clinical sites
• Serving as a resource for students during open lab times

• Facilitate effective student learning in the assigned clinical setting
• Provide adequate guidance for students in the clinical setting related to professionalism and practice
• Support learning activities which are facilitate the students’ attainment of the course objectives
• Promote evidence-based nursing practice
• Ensure effective student practice
• Provide a supportive learning environment by providing feedback on student progress to assigned faculty
• Collaborate with other faculty, administration as and with the healthcare partner and its staff
• Facilitating simulation activities
• Attend all required orientation, training and faculty meetings

What You Will Have:

• Practice: Evidence of a minimum of three years of successful professional nursing practice
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Some additional credits for Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
• Additional ongoing certifications and training desired
• Current unencumbered RN license or eligibility to practice in the State of Texas;
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support provider status
• Must also maintain all clinical clearance requirements including all school-mandated vaccines/titers.
• Clinical Competence: Able to function with professional accountability in clinical settings
• Teaching Competence: Able to create a climate conducive to positive student learning
• Technology Competence: Able to use computer technology (Word, Power Point, E-mail, and Internet) at a minimum
• Practice: minimum of two years of successful clinical nursing practice
