Napa Valley Unified School District has a 1.0 FTE Credentialed Nurse position. The Credentialed Nurse will work under the supervision of the Director of Student Services. This is a 1.0 itinerant position. The District is seeking a Credentialed Nurse with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the school/district Health Services team, school site staff, parents, students and the Public Health Department. Experience with the responsibilities of a credentialed nurse in a school setting including supporting students with diabetes is preferred. The candidate will either have or be willing to obtain an Audiometric Certificate. We seek a candidate with experience maintaining the school health office, monitoring immunizations health records, and training/supervising support nurses and health assistants. Training will be provided for developing and maintaining District Health Plans and for providing district required training such as Epi-Pens, asthma, diabetes, medication administration, student health education classroom instruction. Experience with the completion of Health & Development screenings required for Special Education students as well as the provision of health screenings for vision, hearing, scoliosis, height & weight, and dental is preferred.
