Job description
The Dental Assistant will primarily be responsible for assisting the dentist(s) and dental hygienist(s) in the primary dental services to patients, sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instruments and supplies.
What you will do:
- Assists the dentist in the administration of treatment at chair side or in the laboratory
- Prepares and maintains the operators
- Takes x-rays as needed
- Documents dental care services and treatments in electronic health record
- Educates patients from diverse racial, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in oral health and dental care
- Acts as back-up for front desk/receptionist as needed
What you will need:
- Successful completion of a dental assistant program and dental assisting experience required
- Current Pennsylvania Radiology certification or Pennsylvania state-issued licensure required
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to use Electronic Health Records (EHR) programs
