Job description
This is a seasonal position and is not eligible for benefits.
Hours: Full time, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
This is responsible, technical work inspecting public and private property, crops, and articles and prescribing suitable weed control methods. Work involves responsibility for performing field inspections of public and private property in order to ensure compliance with the Nebraska Noxious Weed Control Act and the Weed Abatement ordinance of the City of Lincoln.
Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent with 6 months of experience in the identification of noxious weeds and 6 months of experience researching and recording legal descriptions; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Necessary Requirement: Possession of a valid driver's license.
Employees must work a least 30 hours per week to be eligible for insurance benefits.
Vacation leave, sick leave, and holidays are prorated for part time employees based upon the hours worked per week.
Temporary, seasonal, and on-call employees are not eligible for benefits.
