Job description
We are seeking a Night Operations Manager who is responsible to lead, coordinate, and build the night operations team to maximize the departments contribution to the overall company purpose. This position oversees all night operations Supervisors and their units, along with several supporting departments including Health and Safety, Special Services, Company Training, and Supply and Maintenance Departments. The core of this position is the production of quality commercial cleaning services through the effort and results of quality caliber employees who are well trained, well supervised, and well-motivated.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure Customer Satisfaction: The Night Operations Manager is completely responsible for all night operations duties. Most of all, however, is their commitment to Customer Satisfaction. All other duties, priorities, and assignments must be secondary in light of the fact that the Customer is the reason why our jobs exist. Without satisfied Customers, Environment Control cannot continue to exist. This position will ensure Customer Satisfaction through:
- Account Knowledge
- Quality Control
- Regularly working with night operations Supervisors to ensure quality supervision of Controllers’ routine work, thorough training and retraining of Leadership Staff employees
- Supervision of our Quality Control Programs
- Regularly performing spot inspections on accounts to ensure quality work
- Managing Customer Concerns
- Maintain awareness of heavy work schedules
Employee Job Satisfaction: The Night Operations Manager is also responsible to build, train, and lead a team of qualified employees to assure the satisfaction of current Customers and for anticipated growth. This position will ensure Employee Job Satisfaction through:
- Supervision of the Supply Department
- Supervision of Company Training
- Overseeing Health and Safety practices of the company.
- Supervisor/Senior Foreman supervision, motivation, development training, and re-training
- Administration and Reporting of task sheets, inspection reports, heavy work requests, labor costs, staffing needs, customer requests,
- Ensuring of nightly routine coverage
Company Growth and Profit: The Night Operations Manager is responsible for making sure the company runs efficiently. Waste of labor, chemicals, or supplies drains the company of resources necessary for company growth and company profit. The Night Operations Supervisor will strive to maximize company growth and profit through:
- Monitoring of chemical and supply use
- Approving all initial budgets for all responsibilities.
- Directing and/or assisting Supervisors in promptly responding to and eliminating all labor overages.
- Advising the Corporate President of the need of special services, resale of supplies, and billing of extra work with current Customers.

Qualifications:
- Successful candidate should have either commercial cleaning or service industry experience at a management level, and/or significant experience leading and managing a large number of employees. Preference given to those with previous cleaning experience.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, motivating, developing, and leading a team. Knowledge of human resource policies and practices, including development of staffing plans and job descriptions, employee relations, training, safety.
- Ability to create and forecast productivity, staffing and budget plans. Initiate and document corrective action in a professional and thorough manner as needed.
- Highest level of commitment to client satisfaction and quality standards. Provide feedback to management as needed on unique client requirements and opportunities to expand client relationship.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- 5+ year experience in a supervisory capacity with min 2-3 of those years in a leadership role of 25 plus employees
- Hospitality, Janitorial and/or Service industry operations experience
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications necessary
