What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering outstanding customer service to guests, both internal and external
- Answering inquiries regarding hotel services, amenities, and outlets
- Resolving guest billing issues while following privacy and security policies
- Making and modifying reservations
- Responding to guest concerns and concerns efficiently and in a friendly manner
- Following all front office procedures including but not limited to: PCI compliance, guest privacy, and cash handling
- Supporting other units, such as sales, as needed
- Checking guests in and out of hotel, post charges to rooms
- Utilizing event summary and huddle sheet to direct guests to events
- End the business day for the hotel
- Prepare reports for next business day
- Post room, tax, and parking charges
- Charge credit cards
- Balance paperwork from retail outlets and restaurants
- Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
What You Need for this Position
- Maintain an organized, clean work space
- General knowledge of local attractions and surrounding areas
- Experience with Opera or a Rooms Management system is a plus, but not required
- Ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently
- Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more
- Able to stoop and bend
- Occasionally able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
- Able to comply with safety and health code standards
