This role will join our team as a Molecular Laboratory Scientist. Responsibilities will include performing benchwork such as gDNA extraction, bisulfite conversion, DNA QC, wet bench, and analytical work for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) assays and microarrays, and cross-functional collaboration supporting new test development.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform wet bench and analytical testing for a variety of molecular assay types to support production and R&D.

• Write technical reports and method/instrument SOPs

• Work with R&D team on development and validation of new testing

• Assist and support other molecular biology tasks and projects as needed for the laboratory

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant biology discipline with a minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience
• Expertise with basic molecular techniques including qPCR, nucleic acid extraction, next generation sequencing (NGS), genotyping microarrays, methylation arrays, RNASeq, microbiomics
• High-level understanding of informatics workflows for the analysis of sequencing data
• Ability to work independently and adapt under aggressive and/or changing timelines
