Position Summary
The Department of Neurology at University of North Carolina, School of Medicine seeks qualified individuals with strong clinical, teaching and research skills, for a full-time Neuro-Oncologist (tenure/tenure track) in Neurology. The position is to provide clinical care to patients with tumors of the nervous system including primary and metastatic tumors of the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves and to perform research in the field of Neuro-Oncology. This position will require a minimum of 25% effort in clinical care and allows for up to 75% effort for research activities. Funding to support research time and career development activities will be provided by the Department of Neurology and the Lineberger Cancer Center.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Candidates must have MD, PhD or equivalent. Post Graduate training in Neurology and Neuro-Oncology are also required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Training in both clinical care and research highly preferred.
