Aqueduct Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer for our customer based in Providence, Rhode Island. This is a direct hire, hybrid role, with occasional travel onsite. This role is responsible for engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities associated with areas within the LAN/WAN network with a primary and high focus on network design and support.
Essential Responsibilities:

• Day to day support for regional LAN/WAN infrastructure including Cisco wired and wireless networks, Viptela SD-WAN Networking, F5 Load Balancers, BlueCoat packet shapers and Gigamon systems.
• Work with all areas of the business on advanced projects related to the design and development of network solutions including voice and data circuits, Cisco routers, switches, and other LAN/WAN network infrastructure components.
• Integrate new technologies to support developing business requirements.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical problems for established networks.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for 24X7 incidents.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years of experience in all phases of LAN / WAN network technology
• Minimum of five years of experience with Cisco infrastructure, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting in a mid to large sized environment.
• Knowledge of dynamic routing protocols and enterprise class switches-router management including large scale switch fabric design, configuration, and management (Cisco Nexus).
• Deep understanding of network services such as Frame Relay/ATM, MPLS and VPN
• Excellent consultative and communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical ability and judgment.
• Advanced Cisco certification CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, preferred
• Ability to work effectively with clients and other technical staff
