Job Description – Network Administrator

Job brief:

THIS JOB WILL BE BASED REMOTELY OUT OF ATLANTA, WITH TRAINING TO BE PROVIDED AT OUR CORPORATE OFFICE IN CRYSTAL LAKE, IL. WORK WILL BE AT HOME AND CLIENT SITE VISITS IN ATLANTA.

We are looking for an entry level Network Administrator to grow into a role responsible for maintaining reliable, secure, and efficient networks. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain, monitor and support all active equipment and software systems to ensure customer environments are stable and secure. Effective communication directly with clients and internal team members is most important.

Responsibilities:

· Fully supporting, configuring, maintaining and upgrading customer's networks, servers and workstations

· Installing and integrating new server hardware and applications

· Monitoring and applying firmware updates and security patches

· Support and administer third-party applications

· Ensure network security and connectivity

· Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput and latency) and test for weaknesses

· Respond to inbound helpdesk requests and resolve questions submitted by end users

· Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords

· Specify system requirements and design solutions

· Research and make recommendations on server and network system administration

Requirements:

· Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching

· Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies

· Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking

· Experience in hospitality and/or customer service is appreciated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
