Network Administrator – South Burlington, VT:
Vermont Federal Credit Union is recruiting for a Senior Systems Administrator and Network Engineer out of our Kennedy Drive Location. The position is responsible for supporting internal customer support requests, responding to and monitoring alerts, and proactive system maintenance. Candidates must have extensive knowledge in order to support a wide array of hardware platforms, operating systems, and software packages.
Job Description:
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues on Windows client operating systems, Linux, and Microsoft server operating systems.
- Manage help desk requests submitted by phone, email, or chat. Document all support requests and resolutions in our ticketing system.
- Manage complex projects including server migrations and network upgrades with minimal impact
- Have a reliable vehicle to travel to remote locations to resolve requests that require an onsite visit. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
- Physical requirements may include lifting up to 70 lbs
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current Driver's License
- Able to work well in a team and alone on tasks
- Ability to learn new software applications quickly
- Adapt to a changing workload
- Deliver outstanding service that is in alignment with the Credit Union’s Service Promises.
Requirements:
- Hardware support supporting Dell, HPE/Nimble server, and storage hardware
- Supporting Windows operating systems such as Windows 10/11 and server operating systems ranging from 2012 to 2022 and Linux (RedHat based)
- Understanding of Databases including Oracle and others
- VMWare systems support experience
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and NTP
- Strong understanding of Citrix and Citrix VDI
- Network systems knowledge including switch management (variety of hardware vendors), VLANs, routing, firewall support including Cisco Nexus, LoadBalancer.org, and FortiGate
- Wireless experience managing and supporting autonomous and managed access points.
