Job Title: Network Administrator
Hours: Full-time/80 hours every 2 weeks
Shift: 1st shift
JOB SUMMARY: Maintains overall health of computer network infrastructure and monitors and troubleshoots server/network traffic, network administration, firewalls, routers, switches, VPN, encryption, remote access, authentication, DNS, FTP, anti-virus, voice and data telecommunications, storage area networks, etc.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Plan, implement and maintain network infrastructure, to include firewalls, routers, switches VPN, analog telephony, and IP telephony
- Plan and implement changes to the IT network for operating systems and security
- Responsible for management of network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis of QoS, and Bandwidth Management; troubleshooting network problems
- Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control and evaluation
- Documents network and system diagrams, process flow diagrams, and disaster recovery procedures
- Performs complex software/hardware troubleshooting, patches and re-installations in accordance with established SLAs
- Provides Tier 2 and Tier 1 support for System Administrators, and Information systems techs to assist in troubleshooting and maintaining Servers and End-user devices
- Assists Information Systems Director as needed for project management
Department Specific Accountabilities:
- Responsible for on call rotation for after-hours system support
- Required to carry a notification device such as a cellphone
Other Job Accountabilities:
- Analyze situations, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions within standards (where applicable)
- Interpret guidelines and analyze factual information to adapt or modify processes in response to changing circumstances.
- Duties may require non-routine analysis, research and follow-through.
- May act as a resource to others to solve problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Associate’s degree or 2 to 4 years related experience or equivalent combination
- Preferred Bachelors in related field
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience working with network and systems infrastructure in a business environment
- Healthcare experience is preferred
Licensure/Certification:
- Professional certifications are preferred (MCSE, CCNA, N+)
