What You’ll Do:

As a New Development National Leasing Specialist, you’ll oversee all aspects of leasing and marketing at New Development conventional and build-to-rent communities across the United States, prior to the property obtaining a permanent office team. The New Development National Leasing Specialist will work closely with the Vice President of New Development and the National Sales Manager to create and implement strategic marketing plans and achieve leasing goals.

This position will include at least 25% travel.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing initiatives to establish and grow New Development communities’ brand presence, attracting residents as new properties are built in expanding markets.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of a successful leasing kick-off prior to permanent office team being hired. Including but not limited to ensuring all leads are properly contacted, managed and progressed through the sales process, provide virtual and in-person tours, when applicable, close the sale, and ensure proper execution of application process and lease documents.
  • Establish an in-depth understanding of the property and gain knowledge of the competitive landscape within the market by shopping competitors and keeping updated records of all offerings within the market.
  • Assist in the training of and guidance in leasing team, once hired, including selling points of the site and frequent objections from prospects, site leasing trends, traffic patterns, etc.
  • Ensure completion, accuracy, and timelines of all regular and ad-hoc reporting requirements.
  • Identify and communicate leasing and marketing risks to corporate management and work to establish a corrective action plan alongside the appropriate individuals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the corporate office and property until a permanent office team is in place.
  • Other duties as directed and assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree in Property Management, Business or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience leasing at multiple properties and multiple markets preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Leasing Manager or Assistant Property Manager required.
  • Previous experience with new construction lease-up properties required.
  • Experience with Onesite, AIRM and Entrata preferred.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, including experience creating formulas, sorting, filtering, etc.
