The National Director – Assurance Quality Management is responsible for managing the Firm’s monitoring and remediation efforts including understanding results of monitoring and causal factor analysis, analyzing data to identify systemic trends and conditions, and evaluating responsive actions to enhance the Firm’s system of quality management. In coordination with the National Managing Partner – Assurance Quality Management, the Director manages the composition of the Firm’s remedial responses to and other requests from the regulator. The Director also assists in assessing and understanding causes of audit quality events, assists in planning audit quality improvements, and assists in development and monitoring of various audit quality processes and indicators.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Economics, required

Experience:
  • Ten (10) years of public accounting work experience, required

License/Certifications:
  • CPA, required

Software:
  • Advanced Excel skills, required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, preferred
  • Experience with accounting research databases, preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with and knowledge of accounting firm quality management standards
  • Advanced knowledge of PCAOB, AICPA, and IAASB auditing standards and GAAP and SEC accounting and regulatory standards
  • Solid understanding and proficiency of accounting and auditing standards and reporting requirements
