We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a N4Z Logistics Analyst to work out of Washington, DC at the Pentagon.

Job Summary:

The candidate supports the LAB’s efforts to convert ideas into outcomes across the logistics domain and to sustain the fight at the operational level of war.

1. Develop and align naval logistics strategy and concepts with current and developing Joint and Naval warfighting strategies and concepts
2. Strengthen linkages across the greater Joint and Naval logistics enterprises
3. Identify critical logistics gaps and provide analytics-based logistics capability development, and other solutions across the DOTMLPF-p spectrum, to improve logistics support and force sustainment.
The ultimate goal of the LAB is to convert identified solutions into actionable outcomes for the Joint and Naval forces as a means to ensure persistent logistics in unpredictable operational environments. The LAB aligns with and performs analytics in accordance with the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Warfighting Development’s (OPNAV N7) Analytic Master Plan (AMP) and the eight pillars of analytics:
  • Intelligence
  • Studies
  • Wargames
  • Exercise
  • Experiments
  • Test
  • Emulations
  • Modeling & Simulation


Essential Duties:

  • Ensure Naval Logistics strategies and concepts are aligned with Joint and Naval strategies and concepts.
  • Provide support and outreach to strengthen linkages across the Joint and Naval logistics enterprises.
  • Ensure logistics elements are included in all relevant pillar efforts including operational wargames; conduct iterative logistics-centric games; document findings and recommendations to identify gaps.
  • Assist with identifying areas where Fleet and warfare centers need to conduct experiments and demonstrations within exercises to test hypotheses regarding potential logistics solutions.
  • Help facilitation/develop unified logistics investment opportunity portfolio across resource sponsors in POM-24 and beyond.
  • Help Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) aligned to five maritime sustainment “vectors” – Refuel, Rearm, Resupply, Repair and Revive (health service support) – perform this analytical work.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A working knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytic methods.
  • Prior experience prioritizing warfighter requirements.
  • Knowledge of Navy organizational structure.
  • Ability to translate data into meaningful presentations and decision briefs for senior leadership.
  • Ability to coordinate and track numerous efforts simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical skills – ability to quickly identify trends, inconsistencies, and information gaps.
  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and articulating high-level business capabilities and requirements.
  • Ability to meet and exceed expectations and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Navy logistics operations.
