Position Overview:
The Project Coordinator works cross-functionally to ensure events and programs are organized, well-staffed and seamless. This role performs with a high level of professionalism, the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining effective communication with staff, volunteers, vendors and community partners regarding programs and events. This position performs a wide range of support for projects including but not limited to; scheduling programs, events, vendor and partnership management and problem-solving resulting in positive positioning of the museum in every interaction. Experience with project management is a must in this position.
Position Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the AV and Multimedia Department and Museum Content and Program Developer
- Perform research in order to gain deep understanding of different requirements and details of each program in addition to any AV requirements and space.
- Research, identify appropriate talent and partner relationships and create a database of approved contacts.
- Works with Museum Operations Team regarding planning and execution of programs and events.
- Works with the Museum Operations team to make sure programs and events are in the museum calendar.
- Works with Stepping Stones AV and Multimedia team regarding needs of talent and space.
- Acts as a liaison between different departments.
- Handle, coordinate and oversee all event and program operations.
- Attend staff meetings and take minutes.
- Use Monday.com to manage multiple projects.
- Carefully supervise event and program preparation activities.
- Offer solutions to resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Coordinates schedules and support with different department leads.
- Works in liaison with Events Manager to coordinate dates and times of performances.
- Assisting in managing the budget.
- Processing payments for vendors and suppliers.
- Acts as an ambassador and actively shares information within area communities to raise awareness of the museum and to drive visitation.
- Represents Stepping Stones as a highly respected educational resource and effectively shares the vision, mission and strategies in a variety of settings.
- Proactively identifies, recruits and leverages expertise and resources to create win-win community partnerships.

Pay: $21.00 per hour
Requirements:
Minimum Experience/Skills/Certificates:
- College degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field.
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Focus on consistently providing quality service to visitors or internal clients; strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with staff, visitors, volunteers and community partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills; proven ability to recommend and implement process improvements and new initiatives; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point; proven ability to learn new systems and software.
- Experience with Monday.Com or project management software a plus.
- Sensitive to diversity including individuals with a physical, sensory or mental disability.
- Bilingual; Spanish a plus.
