The Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller is seeking a self-starter who embraces change, works well under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced, innovative and challenging environment to join our Payroll team as a Payroll Analyst! The Payroll Analyst position is key to ensuring multi-state compliance with all applicable laws by conducting Federal, State, and local research. This position also performs auditing and evaluations and provides recommendations for solutions to management.
This exciting opportunity is also remote work eligible on a Hybrid basis!

Examples of Duties
Conducts Federal, State, and local legal research to ensure multi-state payroll processing compliance with all applicable laws and prepare written analysis documenting conclusions regarding same.
Performs specialized multi-state payroll processes including but not limited to research, analysis, configuration, testing, implementation, and transmittal of tax payments.
Works closely with Clerk Accounting to ensure accurate multi-state payroll configuration and processing
Researches and resolves multi-state payroll inquiries and related issues.
Analyzes and reconciles multi-state tax accounts and take corrective action where necessary.
Proactively identifies best practices, trends and advances related to multi-state payroll
Clerk and County post-payroll analysis and audits to ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws and accuracy of all policies & procedures.
Applies specialized knowledge of payroll time and attendance systems to assist with bi-weekly payroll processing and reporting tasks.
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, supplemented by three (3) years of recent and relevant experience that includes Human Resources Information System (HRIS) administration, general human resources administration, time and attendance systems, payroll systems, benefit systems, position control, pay plan administration, benefits administration; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Pay: $48,562.00 - $55,000.00 per year
