MT – Medical Technologist

One of the top hospitals in coastal northern Massachusetts is seeking a MT - Medical Technologist for openings in the acute care setting.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates proficiency in determining specimen requirements blood collections for all age groups, order entry, order query, specimen accessioning, and specimen distributions.
Sorts all samples to allow for fast retrieval
Proficient in collecting blood successfully on difficult patients
Utilizes two forms of patient identification.
Evaluates and processes all lab specimens according to specimen acceptability policy.
Accurately performs laboratory analyses on patient specimens.
Verifies completed work only after careful review of order priority, completeness, absurd results, critical values and special requests.
Requirements:
Completion of MT or MLT program with a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree.
ASCP certification or registry eligible, required
