Job Summary: Performs CT/MRI procedures to aid physicians in the diagnosis of disease. Processes exposed films via laser printer, analyzes images, transports patients, cleans equipment and performs related clerical duties as required. Performs duties of radiological technologist as required. Participates in CQI activities.

Qualifications/Reporting:

Required minimum education: Graduate of a Radiology program or equivalent. Bachelor of Science degree preferred.

Required minimum experience: One year of MRI experience required. Training in Computer Tomography (CT) preferred. Possess a high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.

Required skills (if applicable): Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred. Basic computer knowledge. The ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems requiring the use of basic technical principles plus in-depth, experienced-based knowledge. Good communication skills in order to explain instructions and procedures to patients, visitors and employees, to comfort patients and their families and to conduct formal classroom training programs. Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. Proficient with most major Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)/Computer Tomography (CT) equipment
manufacturer’s hardware and software. Ability to function as a team member.

Required license/certification: Registered or registry eligible with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Registry (ARRT). Registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is preferred.
Current Texas license is required. Current CPR required.
