Our Subject Matter Experts work together to develop planning and execution products in response to customer requirements definition, assessment, or test needs. These products support capability definition, assessment ,and test planning, data collection, organization, and reporting. Our Experts coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams, develop and document requirements, analyze and operationally assess results, and report-evaluate system contributions based on customer objectives. In addition, we offer expertise in reflecting system requirements in simulation, to include System-of-Systems environment validation. This unique capability is a cost-effective approach to assessing capability gaps, supporting technology transition, while ensuring defendable results for our customers..

Location: Dayton, OH

Roles and Responsibilities:

We are searching for a talented computer scientist or engineer to join our Modeling, Analytics, and Simulation Sciences (MASS) team in Dayton, OH. The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter who can leverage their programming skills to assist on a variety of modeling and simulation projects primarily supporting the Air Force Research Lab and the National Air and Space Intelligence Center. We are looking for someone who is task-flexible and able to balance multiple design and implementation priorities to simulate multi-domain environments. The successful candidate will support the Department of Defense in the development and integration of C++ models and tooling for the AFSIM framework. We also assist in developing scenarios and models to test new concepts in these simulation environments.

Qualifications / Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a CS or Computer Engineering related discipline
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Required Experience

• Software development experience with at least one or more of the following: C, C++ (preferably 11 or higher), Python

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with AFSIM, NGTS, TMAP, ITASE, SAFE-SiM, or other M&S frameworks
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) systems, and supporting tooling
• Experience with C2 (Command & Control), Networking, and Communications systems
• Experience with threat system analysis and representation
• Ability to communicate technical details of work at multiple fidelity levels
• Experience developing or integrating mathematical, logical, and physics-based models in simulation frameworks
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, self-direct, and take ownership for segments of a project
• Active security clearance
