Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain model-tuning documentation as it relates to AML and Trade Surveillance models.
• Partner with the Business and Development team on AML and Trade Surveillance model changes.
• Conduct annual testing of model thresholds, parameters, and functionality to assess if the report is appropriately monitoring AML and market manipulation risks.
• Conduct beta testing and tuning of models before being deployed in Production.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders across Compliance and Programming.
• Maintain up-to-date AML and Trade model documentation.
• The Manager will be responsible for actively following regulatory trends and proposing appropriate action for Compliance, such as updating and designing surveillance reports to ensure the firm has inclusive surveillance coverage.
• Perform AML and Trade Surveillance Coverage Analysis to identify gaps and recommendations.
• Compile model analysis into meaningful summaries and make findings available to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with implementing multiple Trade or AML related model projects and deliver tasks on time.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related degree
• Five-plus years of experience with a Financial Institution (preferably at a large broker or other financial institution with an international client base)
• Five years of professional programming experience in Python and NoSQL
• Experience in Linux is a plus
• Three years of Relational databases experience (Oracle)
• Experience with Pandas and NumPy
• Knowledge of trading products (Equities, Options, and Futures, as well as CFDs and FOREX) as well as applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, risk management and controls
• Experience in US and Foreign AML Regulatory regimes
• Experience in designing reports/controls for AML detection
• Outstanding leadership, communication, analytical, and project management skills
• Regulatory certification is a plus.
