Job Description:

Candidate will be involved in comprehensive industrial and mechanical projects. They will perform such projects that include installation, maintenance ,and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. They will be responsible for alignment and adjustment of machinery. They will use a variety of specialized tools and formulas to properly locate new and used equipment within the building.

Duties/Responsibilties:

  • Move equipment as needed manually or with proper safe use of equipment
  • Use a variety of hand tools, measuring tools, and cutting/welding to fulfill duties
  • Review and follow technical and complex manuals and schematics
  • Use professional judgement to decide which tools and machines should be used
  • Utilize cranes and forklifts to install or move machinery
  • Troubleshoot equipment to figure out problems and find solutions
  • Work with Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians to install, troubleshoot ,and repair machinery
  • Work with CAD drawings and software
  • Read and understand electrical ,hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
  • Attend training both in house and at various training facilities
  • Must work scheduled hours and some unscheduled hours depending on factory needs
  • Safety policies must be adhered to when working
  • Input of ideas pertaining production machinery and safety

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of safety practices, guidelines, rules, and laws.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required; vocational school or Associates degree in related field highly preferred.
  • At least five years of experience required; four years of successful apprenticeship training preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing, stretching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
  • Visual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed portions of machinery.
  • Manual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust, and relocate machines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
