Job description

The purpose of this job is to plan, direct and manage the day-to-day operations at the Miami Airport for Copa Airlines' operations. Serves the company by managing the station and ongoing operations to ensure all aircraft movements, terminal activity, ramp handling, loading/unloading of aircraft and cargo handling, meet all company and governmental requirements and safety regulations.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for achieving all ground operations and corporate goals as related to performance, safety, service, finance and regulatory compliance. Ensures all employees and vendors are aware of station and corporate goals and expectations.
• Ensures compliance of all safety regulations and requirements pertaining to the station, aircraft, facilities, equipment and personnel.
• Maintains supports and improves the overall station operation to support all business units of the company.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of extensive airline operational experience.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple assignments in a high stress environment..
• Proven ability to lead and manage the activities of a diverse and work force.
• Skilled problem solver with leadership qualities.
• Excellent communication, decision and management skills.
• College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
