Job Title: Manager Global Operations Network Design & Optimization

Job Location: Hershey, PA

Summary:

The Network and Operations Strategy team provides exciting opportunities to shape the future of the Hershey Supply Chain. The Manager, Global Operations Network Design & Optimization has responsibility for developing short and long term strategies to support sales growth and profitability across Hershey’s supply chain network.

The role requires strategic thinking, leadership and a highly developed set of general management, analytic, and project management skills that translate into results.

This position will leverage expertise in the area of snacks to influence decisions on Salty network design & supply chain capabilities, M&A, and other initiatives affecting both short and long term Salty supply chain strategy.

Primary responsibilities:

• Supporting key Global Operations network and design initiatives
• Development of long-term supply chain network strategies in key markets
• Long term capital planning & capacity roadmap assistance to support growth & margin objectives.
• Collaborating across functional areas to lead network planning and optimization in support of Hershey’s Global Supply Chain initiatives.
• Identify and support network continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide research, analysis, recommendations and resulting project management for strategic projects.
• Development of distribution strategies by region
• Senior executive analysis and presentation content development
• Working with our Business Development Team in analyzing potential acquisition and partnership opportunities

Experience & Qualifications:

• 3-7 years progressive supply chain professional experience
• Direct experience optimizing and designing supply chain networks focused on snacks.
• Knowledge of the co-manufacturing network for snacks
• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong ability to influence and communicate across organizational boundaries.
• Ability to develop clear and concise senior level communications.
• Ability to synthesize large sets of data from multiple sources, formulate/validate hypotheses and make business recommendations.
• Ability to analyze business processes and to recommend and implement process improvements.
• Comfort level in facilitating and leading projects that are cross functional in scope.
• Strong understanding of financial metrics and P&L fundamentals
• Proven Quantitative and Analytical skills.
• Flexibility to travel (short trips to visit Salty snacks plants in US)
• Fluency with PowerPoint
• Strong desire for personal and professional development
