The Position
The manager of the Corporate Actions team is primarily responsible for managing day-to-day operations and workflows of the Corporate Actions team. Additionally, the manager is responsible for setting the strategic vision for the team and working closely with internal and external parties, and technology partners to implement. The Corporate Actions team is a part of Wellington’s InvesTech department. The team is responsible for ensuring complete, accurate, and timely processing of all corporate actions.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of analysts and their daily workflows
  • Oversee external vendor and service provider relationships
  • Drive the implementation and enhancements of technology utilized in the processing of corporate actions
  • Continuously identify opportunities for improvement
  • Work with internal and external groups to resolve complex action issues
  • Interact with different areas of the firm to help identify opportunities to leverage corporate action data
Qualifications
The successful candidate for this position is likely to have:
  • A Bachelor Degree and 10-12 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably in corporate actions
  • Experience managing a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, team-based, results-oriented environment
  • Ability to effectively mitigate risk through design and administration of controls
  • A strategic mindset and ability to be decisive
  • A record of continuous improvement and affecting positive change within the group and the firm
  • Demonstrated analytical and writing skills, effective communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail
  • A sense of humor is absolutely required
