Job description
The primary responsibilities of the Merchandise Associate are to ensure that all inventories are properly accounted for and maintained to company standard. Primary and secondary responsibilities are as follows.- Accurately check-in all in-bound merchandise
- Adjust Inventory counts using the adequate shrink indicator(s) in PIP.
- Assemble Merchandise for displays and deliveries
- Accountable for proficient functionality and usage of applicable Eagle applications and other store technology
- Responsible for maintaining a professional appearance while at work at all times.
- Ensure all KIBO (online orders) are processed and provided to customers in a timely manner
- Ensure all products are priced and signed to a standard
- Ensure and Execute proper location maintenance.
- Execute any and all store space reallocation of inventory as needed
- Execute Opening and Closing duties to company standard.
- Execute price changes.
- Occasionally work off hours on special projects
- Operate a forklift and or pallet jack safely and efficiently
- Other duties assigned by the AGM as necessary
- Perform daily tasks to complete as assigned by supervisors.
- Perform IRA process via cycle counts and shooting outs, lows, and overstocks
- Perform store services as needed
- Perform the proper procedures for all inter-store transfers including RIB
- Professionally answer phone calls and use radios to communicate with appropriate associates.
- Receive and sort and stock all merchandise shipments
- Responsible for completing continuing education certification courses applicable to their plan.
- Responsible for store transfers, customer deliveries, and Assemblies.
- Responsible for upholding LP measures.
- Separate Special Orders from delivery and process according to store policy
- Unload and load trucks in a safe manner
- Upkeep and execution of all promotional display and signage
- Utilize standardized safety measures when performing any and all job duties.
- Welcome all customers in a friendly, helpful, and professional way as they enter the store-
MINIMUM
- Ability & willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, & holidays to meet the needs of the business
- Ability to solve problems, work independently or with a team, and check the accuracy of work before reporting
- Education/Training: High School degree or equivalent
- Effective communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
- Experience in a retail environment
- Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus
- Knowledgeable of general retail policies and procedures
- Possesses extensive product knowledge of consumable products along with a willingness to learn
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time up to 10 hours in a day
- Climb stairs and ladders in a safe manner
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently and occasionally move more than 100 pounds
- Must be able to operate any required heavy machinery
- Work up to 40 hours per week
