About the Team:

The Aurora County Human Services Liaison is situated within the Child Specialty Programs Division but works in tandem with programs across AuMHC in order to provide exceptional coordination and assessment care across the continuum of youth and adult mental health and substance use services.


About the Role:

This is a fully In-Person position and will report to our 1290 N. Chambers Road, Aurora, CO location. Provide high quality, trauma-informed, client-focused clinical assessment and community liaising to support youth and adults involved with Arapahoe County Human Services and mental health/substance use services. Be the connector between services while helping to reduce stigma and enhance recovery and well-being.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments for youth and adults involved with county human services.
  • Act as the liaison between Arapahoe County Human Services, AuMHC, and other community partners.
  • Consult with internal and external professionals and collaterals to ensure access to needed services and proactive coordination of care.
  • Provide clinical case-management services and crisis intervention as appropriate.
  • Provide comprehensive clinical services designed to decrease symptoms and improve quality of life.
  • Offer consultation to community partners and providers.
  • Write reports and other correspondence, as necessary, and with appropriate releases.
  • Complete all requests to provide the necessary information and undertake the required activities to ensure timely and ongoing credentialing with third party payers.
  • Adheres to Code of Conduct, core values, policies, procedures, guidelines and compliance plan
  • Effectively interacts and communicates with other staff, clients, customers and partners to build relationships and address and resolve issues
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform other essential functions of the job
  • Meets defined individual and team goals, metrics and Key Performance Indicators
  • Actively participates in performance review process
  • Timely completes all annual and other required trainings
  • Protects all confidential information
  • Other duties as assigned

About You:

Aurora Mental Health Center is seeking a highly skilled clinician to join our team and provide essential assessment and coordination support in our community! The Arapahoe County Human Services Liaison provides care coordination, assessment, treatment recommendations, and consultation between ACDHS and AuMHC. The Liaison coordinates with ACDHS staff around care for families that are ACDHS-involved and in need of mental health and/or substance use services. The Liaison works closely with caseworkers and treatment providers to compile family information, determine need for further evaluation, and work toward a comprehensive, family-focused plan. The Liaison completes initial evaluations of child, teen, and adult clients and supports entry into mental health treatment, as well as access to other community providers, as needed. The candidate should have a passion for providing clinical care as well as community support and education.


Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in human services field.
  • At least one year relevant experience providing clinical care to appropriate client population, including conducting individual, family and/or group therapy.
  • License eligible: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Knowledge of theories and evidence based practices related to clinical treatment.
  • Ability to learn and utilize an electronic health record with proficiency.
  • Solid understanding of mental illness and treatment modalities within multidisciplinary approach.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and effectively respond to all client presentations and crisis situations.
  • Ability to document interactions with clients, other agencies and mental health professionals.


Required Vaccinations:

  • Aurora Mental Health Center (AuMHC) has prioritized the health and safety of our clients and staff and requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as well as receive an annual influenza (flu) shot prior to their first day of hire. Proof of both vaccinations we will be required upon your first day of employment.
  • Medical and religious exemptions may be requested for either COVID 19 vaccine or annual flu shot.


Compensation, Benefits & Perks.


Starting Salary for this role
(based on experience and company equity):

  • Unlicensed Therapist: $48,000
  • Licensed Therapist: $53,000 - $78,000


Additional Compensation Opportunities:

  • $2,000 sign on bonus for Unlicensed Therapist
  • $3,000 sign on bonus for Licensed Therapist
  • $3,000 for LCSW with adults

Language Differential Pay (For Bilingual Candidates):

  • 5% of base salary up to $3,000/year
