Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 40 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.

We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Records Clerk to support the maintenance of the protection of health records for the purpose of health care. The person in this position performs and is responsible for a variety of data entry functions including tracking, maintaining, and handling health records and data entry of medical information given by clinical staff. Will sort, scan, and electronically file client health records accurately. This person will, as needed, handle release of protected health information in compliance with organizational policies and HIPAA laws and maintain the security of health information. Works in an office environment and in coordination with the clinical staff and also the billing, clerical, and IT departments. Work is detail oriented and necessitates strong emphasis on both quantity and quality.

Hours are 8am - 4pm.

Candidates must have excellent organizational skills, ability to interpret information, to provide feedback, attention to detail, focus, and have good oral and written communication, problem solving, accurate key board skills, good basic math skills. Must be conscientious and adaptable. Professional approach to all functions and relationships with all levels of staff, clients, other agencies, and the public.

Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. 2 years of experience demonstrating increasing competence in electronic health records is required.
