Position : Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist

• $60 /Hour, 13 Weeks Contract,40 Hours/Week

Shift Info: Varied

• Less than 1 year of experience as laboratory or equivalent environment preferred.
• Preferred candidate would be a generalist who has experience with Roche Cobas 6000 chemistry analyzer, Sysmex XN1000 hematology analyzer, and blood banking with manual gel method.
• Preferred LIS experience with EPIC/Beaker and WellSky/HCLL blood bank.
• Prefer Med Tech, but will definitely consider MLT with the right experience.

• ASCP required.
• AMT or CLS required.
• Or biological or medical technician from an accredited institution is required.
• Or Be a high school graduate or equivalent and have successfully completed an official military medical laboratory procedures course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician) is required.
• Current CPR certification preferred.

Job Description :

• Ability to perform general phlebotomy procedures.

• Ability to communicate written and verbal information to customers regarding appropriate specimen collection, transport, and test methodology. Able to interpret test results. Able to handle client service issues at all levels appropriately, courteously and effectively with a customer focus.
• Ability to perform standard laboratory analyses accurately according to published procedures and turnaround times.
• Ability to validate results which includes, but is not limited to, recognizing questionable results, investigation of the cause(s) of questionable results and finally to take appropriate action regarding release of test result to customer.
• Ability to interpret, initiate, and comply with regulatory guidelines as required by regulatory agencies.
• Ability to utilize critical thinking for problem solving.
• Ability to multitask effectively and accurately in a stressful environment.
