A New Start is a leading provider of specialized quality care for drug use management and recovery. We create a comprehensive plan for patients that include Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs, counseling, and medical services. Our programs are customized to the patient’s needs and services are delivered in a way that respects the dignity, value, and self-worth of every individual. Care Now at A New Start is a Primary Care Rural Health Clinic focusing on the physical and mental needs of patients.
We need to add a new face to our front desk team. This person would split time between A New Start and Care Now. Our Front Desk Coordinators are important to the success of our clinic as they are the "face" of the practice They also initiate each patient claim by obtaining and entering correct patient information into the billing system. Most of the information submitted on a claim derives from a front desk team member. They are primarily responsible for processing information for patients. Exemplary customer service skills are crucial in this role, as the Patient Access Coordinator must ensure that accurate information is collected, and that they are always sensitive to the confidentiality of this information.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
These duties and responsibilities are intended to reflect the major responsibilities and duties of the job, but is not intended to describe minor duties or other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time. These duties include:
- Demonstrates a commitment to the mission, vision and values of A New Start II, LLC and Care Now at A New Start.
- Registers patient in a timely and accurate manner, obtaining demographic and accurate insurance information.
- Directs patients, answers the phone, and handles inquiries.
- Insures eligibility, Medicare compliance and benefits are properly verified prior to visit.
- Demonstrates skill with all applicable access software systems which would mean learning two separate systems to work in both clinics.
- Schedules patient appointments, both by telephone as well as upon patient check-out.
- Exhibits excellent customer service skills with patients, fellow employees, providers and office staff.
- Multi-tasking is a must.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested in order to maintain a high level of service.
- Maintains all patient visit information within the system, updating as requested.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical front desk experience required
