Medical Director - Women's Health Opportunity in Beautiful Portland, Maine!

Northern Light Mercy Hospital seeks a Medical Director to lead its Women's Health programs. Northern Light Mercy Hospital is proud of its great culture and collaborative team environment. Our newly renovated and expanded hospital campus on the shores of the Fore River in beautiful Portland, Maine boasts peaceful, healing views; a cafe known for its delicious and nutritious homecooked meals; easy access from Route 295; and onsite parking. Northern Light Mercy Hospital is well-known for its birthplace and Level II nursery. We host 600+ deliveries annually.

Expectations of Medical Director include:

• Energetically lead a team of top-notch providers and staff in Women's Health practices including OB/GYN, midwifery, neonatology, labor and delivery, and breast care;
• Employ program development acumen;
• Collaboratively develop and implement quality improvement goals and measures;
• Serve as a strategic-thinking member of Mercy's leadership team and participate in the Women's Health service line at the Northern Light Health system level;

Candidates for this position:

• Must be Board Certified in OB/GYN and eligible for licensure in Maine;
• Will have 7 - 10 years of experience, including 3 - 5 years in a leadership capacity;
• Should possess strong clinical, managerial, and leadership skills;
• Robotic surgery experience preferred.
