Job Title: Medical Assistant On-Site Summary: Provides primary support to DISA-Williamsport On-site program. The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.- Chart preparation for on-site • Provides coverage for after hours on-call substance abuse testing (one week every three weeks). • Complete computer uploads, scheduling, and coding for clients • Prepare billing for completed on-site projects • Scan medical files • Distribute medical test results • Conduct follow-up on the patient charts • Frequently go on site with the team as the check in/check-out person • Perform on-site medical testing, including but limited to vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, vision screening, respirator fit testing, audiometric testing, and substance abuse testing. • Schedule on-site projects • Supports front office administration as required • Ability to perform physical requirement of position: o Frequently: stand, sit, bend, walk, and operate a computer o Frequently: answer phones o Lift: 11-20 lbs Qualifications/Requirements: • Excellent customer service skills • Excellent verbal communication skills • Punctual and dependable • Must have strong computer skills • Able to work with minimal supervision • Knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn other proprietary software systems. • Professional appearance • Ability to perform clinical duties accurately and in accordance with protocols, regulations.
- Demonstrates sound decision making when dealing with client issues • Maintains all required clinical certifications • Adheres to all corporate policies/procedures and federal/state regulations Education/Training/Experience: • Medical Assistant Certification required • Minimum 1 year clinical experience is preferred Travel: Yes Work Hours: This is an on-site role. When not on-site, office hours will be Monday – Friday; 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
