This job offers a primarily remote work structure. On-site work is required as dictated by the needs of the job.

The Medicaid Programs Consultant & Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring and promoting success across all CU Medicine’s Supplemental Funding Program (UPL) investments directed toward enhanced access and care for Health First Colorado enrollees (Medicaid). The individual in this position will promote the collaborative engagement of stakeholders, project leads, provider champions, and affiliate partners. The Project Manager will provide comprehensive summary reporting of accomplishments to executive leadership.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide comprehensive project management support to ensure all Supplemental Funding Program (UPL) deliverables are met as outlined in interagency agreements.
  • Monitor ROI and supply executive-level summary reporting of program activity, as well as progress made toward targeted goals and outcomes.
  • Support Office of Value Based Performance (OVBP) faculty leadership in identifying projects requiring higher-level engagement and mitigation of ROI gaps, which includes facilitating discovery sessions and follow-up research.
  • Meet regularly with OVBP Director and Management team to organize and advise on program deliverables, including timeline management and progress tracking.
  • Oversee strategic capture and analysis of data to inform program leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate navigational expertise and provide linkage between both internal and external resources to stimulate investment success.
  • Perform other duties and assist with special assignments as needed.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a business or related field coupled with 10+ years of prior healthcare operations experience with an emphasis on project management success. Advanced degree and/or applicable certifications, such as a PMP certification, preferred. Must have a high degree of organizational skill and attention to detail. High-level verbal and written communication skills are essential to success. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task and successfully prioritize a robust workload. Must demonstrate a strong proficiency in MS Office suite, inclusive of Teams. In addition, the ideal candidate will be a resourceful self-starter.
