Key Code Media is seeking a support technician for Los Angeles. Applicants must have great communication skills and a willingness to learn various software systems from our long list of vendors. Avid, Adobe, editorial storage, and broadcast equipment experience a requirement, asset management experience a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:
Supports all West Coast Production Technology environments with primary focus on existing footprint in Hollywood and Burbank. This includes frontline support of editorial workstations running Adobe Premiere and Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools Systems, Recording Studios, Screening Room and Cafe Wall, Machine/Server Rooms. Familiarity with Avid Nexis storage platform, Signiant MediaShuttle, IBM UStream, CineXTools, and Evercast. Collaborate in these areas with adjacent Global team members, product manufacturers and suppliers, engineering teams, production applications and development group, and internal Production Technology colleagues nationwide.

Secondary Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site technical support to animation and live-action long-form / short-form productions on west coast.
- Support all pick up & deliveries for live-action production shoots.
- Support all on-site communications and scheduling.
- Log all support tickets into database for tracking and analyzing.
- Assist in all system design drawings, documentation, integration, and wiring for all broadcast audio & video editorial & encoding systems including:
- Avid Media Composer picture edits , Avid Pro Tools edits, Adobe Premiere animatic edits, and ancillary Machine Room systems.
- Help to create technical protocols, user guides, and support documentation for all systems.
- Assist in all research, design, and maintain standards to ensure all systems meet specifications.
- Assist in research of new hardware & software, including beta testing.
- Ensure all systems are upgraded to current versions of hardware and software to meet production requirements.
- Report to Senior Management on the status of individual projects.
- Help with routine service & maintenance of all systems.
- Support shipping, receiving, labeling, and inventory needs for support team
- Handles all repair requests, including sending out equipment, tracking orders, and e-waste/salvage.

- Provide regular status updates to senior management.
- Communicate with all post-production teams, editors, and assistants as needed.
- Regularly meet with full west coast team to better understand impact of Prod Tech business objectives and help potentially align adjacent focuses into unified objectives.

Required Qualifications / Skills:
- AA Degree in electronics or equivalent experience
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to perform well in fast-paced/high-pressure live production environment
- Ability to manage a large number of tasks concurrently.
- Ability to prioritize effectively.
- Team Player
- Articulate and deadline-oriented.
- 4 years + in broadcast technical support.
- On-set physical production experience a plus: familiar w/ linear signal flow, standards for audio, video and timecode.
- ENG/EFP, Switched Multi-camera production experience; Animation and graphics experience a plus
Operating system experience:
- Microsoft Windows 10+ ; previous OS experience a plus
- Macintosh OS 10.13+ ; previous OS experience a plus
- Linux/Unix experience a plus
