OVERVIEW
The Media Supervisor for General Accounts (UC Davis Healthcare primarily, Supernal and assisting on new business, etc.) reports into the Associate Media Director and works closely with the Media Planner and Assistant Media Planner on the day-to-day media planning and implementation efforts. This candidate needs to have an understanding of both digital and traditional channels from a strategy, planning, execution, and measurement standpoint. The Media Supervisor will work closely with several groups including the clients, creative agencies, internal account and media teams, and media vendors.

The ideal candidate is passionate about media, a team player, and has integrated media knowledge.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Associate Media Director to help develop and execute integrated media strategies and plans that deliver on the client’s objectives and goals. This includes:
  • Target research, strategic flighting, channel mixes, budget allocations, and partner recommendations
  • Both digital and traditional channels (e.g., linear, audio, print, digital video, programmatic, paid social, paid search, etc.)
  • Take a leadership role, alongside the Associate Media Director, in mentoring and managing current team members; set an example for the team
  • Help to provide media thought leadership and innovation to move client business forward
  • Utilize effective time management and project management skills to ensure deadlines are being met with quality work across all accounts
  • Ability to adapt and keep up with a quick paced environment; the planning team has several roles including strategy, planning, execution, and measurement
  • Work with the planning team on New Business efforts
  • Provide guidance and jump in when necessary, regarding media tools (e.g., Ad Intel, Simmons, ComScore, Campaign Manager, Prisma, etc.)
  • Individual will oversee and help on implementing media for the general accounts
  • A team player that’s not afraid to jump in and help out where needed (e.g., reporting, billing, trafficking, etc.)


REQUIREMENTS

Education B.S./B.A. required - preferably in Marketing/Communications


EXPERIENCE

4+ years of progressive levels of responsibility in media planning, buying, and management across all channels (e.g., linear, audio, print, digital video, programmatic, paid social, paid search, etc.)


SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strategic thought leadership
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks and consistently meet deadlines
  • Must have a blend of experience that covers both Digital and Traditional channels (e.g., linear, audio, print, OTT, digital, programmatic, paid social, paid search)
  • Knowledge of Media-related research, planning, buying & digital related resources (e.g., Ad Intel, Simmons, ComScore, Campaign Manager, Prisma, etc.)
  • Digital trafficking experience (e.g., Campaign Manager)
  • Self-service paid social experience a plus
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary range:

$85,000-$115,000
