Job description
Responsibilities:
Multifaceted engineering position involving new product design, product support and manufacturing engineering.
Design and development of new Camera Stabilizer equipment, Lighting related products and Broadcast/Motion Picture Industry related products and accessories.
Mechanical drafting, engineering support and design of primarily machined, molded, electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
Building and testing of mechanical and electro-mechanical prototypes.
Creation of technical documentation including assembly/test procedures, part drawings, packaging details and specifications.
Support manufacturing and customer service with product related and manufacturing issues.
Liaison with outside contractors and manufacturers to help support new and existing products.
Willingness to travel approximately 5%.
Skills:
Ability to design and develop unique electro-mechanical products from concept to production.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
3-5 years experience with SolidWorks 3D solid modeling a must.
Experience with SolidWorks PDM and FEA analysis preferred.
Strong drafting skills and knowledge of GD&T standards required.
Previous electro/mechanical product design & development experience required.
Excellent root cause analysis troubleshooting skills required.
Lighting and Broadcast related industry experience a plus.
Experience with 3D printing a plus.
Knowledge of electronics a plus.
Self starter with exceptional attention to detail.
