The jobsite located in Baytown, TX has an opening for a Mechanical Coordinator.
What You Will Do In Your Role
The Mechanical Coordinator is a critical role that coordinates the production requirements with Maintenance and Engineering organizations’ activities. This role is responsible for understanding the production schedule and ensuring that equipment is available to meet production demands, in a way that optimizes equipment uptime.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
The Mechanical Coordinator is responsible for daily coordination the maintenance and engineering requirements of all the process equipment. Responsible for having a firm knowledge of the plant’s equipment layout and understanding the sites production strategy and goals. Must be able to anticipate plant priorities and make adjustments as needed.
- Acts as the lead Equipment Owner.
- Issue Work Permits in accordance with guidelines.
- Responsible for the safe execution of the work in the areas.
- Review all Work Notifications and/or Work Orders for accuracy, detail level, and priority.
- Identifies Emergency work and coordinates with the maintenance planner and Maintenance Area Manager to adjust the planned work schedule
- Attends and co-leads the daily scheduling meetings and coordinates with planning & scheduling and maintenance activities to ensure a smooth daily work schedule is produced.

Some physical demands of being a pipefitter include:
- Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.
- Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs
- Standing for extended periods of time up to 11 hours per day. Breaks are given in 2.5 hour intervals
- Moving the entire body. Considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis.
- Must have good hand-eye coordination
- Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools.
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Construction Management), Technical degree (2 year), or equivalent plant operations/maintenance experience.
- 3-5 years maintenance / operations experience
What Will Put You Ahead
- 5 + years of experience working in industrial construction.
- Previous experience working in a new construction environment.
- Previous experience working in a coordinator role.
