Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assembly: Reads op sheets, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions to assemble product. Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device. Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place. Installs moving parts such as shafts, levers or bearings and works them to test free movement. Some electrical assembly /test such as routing or connecting component lead wires and other components or connectors.
Inspection & Functional Testing: Performs go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards. Performs or assists in functional testing of completed product.
Machine Operation: Mills, Drills, taps or reams holes. Sets up and operates balancing and other types of equipment. Sets up and operates machines such as dual-plane balancing machines, arbor presses, manual milling machines, drill presses, taps, to perform fastening, force fitting, or light metal cutting operations.
Packaging & Material Handling: Packs parts and assemblies for shipping per procedures. Transports material and operates hoist to move material.
Housekeeping and Safety: Performs daily housekeeping in assembly area. Provides general shop support as necessary.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Certificate from a Community College Advanced Manufacturing program is a plus. Experience in safely using and maintaining assembly and inspection tools. Experience in operating drill press and Bridgeport Milling machine is a plus. Able to count accurately, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs. Possess Basic Computer skills.
Able to work independently, quickly and accurately, complete work in a timely manner and meet quality and productivity standards. Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to respond promptly to customer needs, meet commitments and support all shop groups.
Able to prioritize and plan work activities, manage competing demands, and change approach or method to best fit solution. Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, and unexpected events. Determine method to best fit the situation. Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Posses good communications skills and the ability to work effectively on a team. Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely by skillfully gathering and analyzing information and developing alternate solutions.
Able to regularly stand, walk and reach with hands and arms and to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception. Regularly exposed to moderate noise level and moving mechanical parts.

Additional Information
Full Time, Hourly position. Salary Range $15-$20 per hour commensurate with experience. Generous 401k plan, health plan options, PTO, and several optional voluntary plans.
