Wood Group Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in industrial engine overhaul, repair and maintenance services is seeking:

AIRCRAFT ENGINE COMPONENT MECHANICS

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various overhaul and repair duties on GG4A, GG4C, GG8, FT4 and PT8 power gas turbine components such as fuel pumps, modulating valves, shut off valves and fuel manifolds in accordance with WGPW established methods and practices and in a highly safety conscious environment.

Starting wages are determined based on work history and experience. Candidates must have good mechanical skills, a high level of manual dexterity including hand-eye coordination and the ability to accurately use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers and dial indicators.

Must be able to read, interpret, document and use manufacturer’s technical manuals, service bulletins, illustrated parts catalogs, assembly drawings, AOS sheets and WGPW assembly records.

Must be able to effectively and safely use manufacturer’s special tooling and lift and turn equipment.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Equivalent to high school plus additional broad specialized training in an aviation or technical school, military training and one to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Airframe & Power Plant License preferred but not required.
