Title: Measurements Technician II
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Painted Post, NY
100% onsite.
Primary contact for manufacturing issues related to metrology support

Scope of Position:
Document updates for standardized methods and procedures of currently deployed measurement systems. Support ongoing process improvement projects through experimentation execution and data collection. Participate in project teams introducing new measurements technology. Work with operations to ensure measurement equipment is running at peak performance.
Includes participation in the design, building, testing and extension of various measurement and controls systems in the complex. Development and execution of Measurement Systems Analysis and R&R studies. Work with manufacturing, engineering, development and information technology groups to bring standard methods to measurement and controls systems, along with data storage and presentation. Support of installed measurement and controls systems in manufacturing. Provide technical support for transferring technology from metrology engineering to production.

Required Skills (These are skills that candidates MUST possess)

• Working knowledge of measurements and instrumentation.
• Base knowledge of statistical analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communications with overall people skills.
• Well versed in Microsoft Office.

Desired Skills (These are skills that would be nice for candidates to possess)

• Manufacturing experience and ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer vision system experience.
• Experience with IATF quality standards
• Experience in Optical Measurements, digital imaging and systems analysis
• Knowledge of sensors, instrumentation, lasers and signal processing and hands on knowledge of electrical installation
• Good process, systems and troubleshooting skills
• Mathematics & Strong understanding of calculus, matrix math and geometry.
• Knowledge of other inspection tools & Ability to help bench mark different plant measurement tools against one

another and have an in-depth knowledge of why the tools are different.

• Optics Understanding & Basic understanding of lens and lighting.
• Measurement Systems Analysis and R&R experience.

Education/Experience Needed

• 2-year technical degree or 2+ years measurements experience

Soft Skills (Communication/Team/Leadership)

• Resolve conflicts with peers, customers, etc.
• Ability to easily work with different functional areas (development, engineering, manufacturing, trades, etc.)

Work Schedule

• Standard work scheduled is M-F 8-5
• Off hours support for manufacturing line down issues
• Schedule includes a weekend on-call rotation every 7 weeks to be primary contact for manufacturing issues related to

metrology support

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
