Job description
The Materials Technician position provides on-site inventory control/supply management services. A Materials Technician is responsible for accurately receiving, auditing, requisitioning, transporting, storing and accurately distributing hospital supplies and equipment. In addition, the Materials Technician will provide an internal courier service to the patient areas and various departments throughout the hospital.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Must have proper telephone communication skills and be able to courteously deal with people. Must have the ability to perform storeroom/par-leveling/receiving/replenishment/charge reconciliation/inventory control/courier duties.
Medical Clearance from Functional Capacity Evaluation.
Preferred: Experience with a MMIS (Material Management Information System). Working knowledge of Excel and Windows Applications.
