Position Overview:
We are currently seeking Materials Management Supervisor to join our team!
The Materials Management Supervisor manages a team of planners in the areas of product demand forcasting and procurement. Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing manpower, reviewing attendance, assigning manpower, inventory level management, and shortage mitigation. This supervisor is also responsible for ensuring employees are equiped with proper tools and PPE and are working safely. This role is also responsible for escalating and reporting out of standard conditions to the Materials Planning Business Unit Manager. Responsibilities:

The Materials Management Supervisor manages a team of planners in the areas of product demand forcasting and procurement. This supervisor is also responsible for ensuring employees are equiped with proper tools and PPE and are working safely. This role is also responsible for escalating and reporting out of standard conditions to the Materials Planning Business Unit Manager.
- Oversees activities related to the purchase of material, material control, inventory control, shipping/receiving and stores functions
- Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures and material control systems
- Ensures materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels
- Develops material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering
- Reviews and plans requirements for purchasing materials
- May prepare material requirement plans using enterprise resource planning systems
- May assist with the establishment and maintenance of the production control system
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 3 years of materials management or supply chain experience
OR
- Master’s degree
- At least 1 year of materials management or supply chain experience
OR
- At least 5 years of materials management or supply chain experience

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. - Demonstrate a Safety First culture
- COMPUTER SKILLS - Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets, and reporting tools. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, ERP software (preferably BAAN), and Microsoft SharePoint
- ANALYTICAL SKILLS – Critical thinking capability, ability to compare, contrast and quantify, and keen attention to detail, with a strong sense of urgency. Can interpret and present numerical data orally and in writing
