Job description
Responsible for performing specified Supply Chain duties including ordering, receiving, and delivering goods to ensure departments have supplies and equipment needed to provide excellent patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Previous experience in healthcare preferred
- Experience creating Bill Only Purchase orders
- Previous experience as a surgical technologist preferred
- Knowledge of orthopedic surgeries with a preference on total knees, total hips and spine surgeries
- Has worked with materials ordering systems in the past with a preference for Meditech
- Experience with Healthcare Materials Management Information System preferred
- A working knowledge of MS Office applications which includes Excel
Essential Functions
- Requisition/place routine and non-routine orders (Purchase Orders) through the Information System
- Receive routine and non-routine purchase orders through the Information System
- Assist with establishing min/max levels
- Perform quarterly physical inventory counts
- Deliver/distribute/replenish supplies/equipment/linen to departments
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels
- Maintain information system item master, including descriptions, pricing, par levels, and expense codes
- Coordinate return shipments and maintain return log
- Keep shelves and storage bins clean and organized
- Monitor back-orders
- Other duties as assigned
